"At the still point of the turning world. Neither flesh nor fleshless;
Neither from nor towards; at the still point, there the dance is,
But neither arrest nor movement. And do not call it fixity,
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance."

Venice | Wind Spirit | August 2003

From our hotel window, last day of our cruise from Athens to Venice--via the Greek Islands, Turkey, and Dubrovnik.

Li River, April 8, 2008

This is one of many, many images from a boat ride down LiJiang.  It was a cloudy day, diminishing the deep greens and surrounding the karsts in fog.

Jost Van Dyke, April 2 2005

This is a remake of an older image from our 2005 Caribbean cruise on the Windspirit.  I made two duplicates, then over exposed one of them and underexposed the other.  Using Photomatix, I created an HDR image and then tone map it.

2009, Lincoln Park, March 3 2009

This is a shot of Lincoln Park, created by merging three bracketed images into an HDR composite.  I was still exploring Photomatix when I did this (I've since purchased it--so easy).  You can see Mindy just to the left of the large tree, center.
